Well, I am an actor here in NYC, and I have to admit, when I first saw the casting alert for Naked Island Dating, I was a little jealous.
I mean, why didn’t they call me directly for this?
Basically, they get a few people who are willing to be naked on an island, and see who is going to “fall in love” with each other…
in 5 days.
Let’s face it, it’s TV time; they have 5 days (minus commercials) to fall in love while “Baring themselves… completely!” Just when I thought Television had hit it’s low with Bad Girls Club and the now-cancelled Crack-Smoking Mayor Rob Ford TV show, here comes:
I wanted to make an uplifting, inspirational meme that would soread out across the internet and people would learn and thank me for all of the wonderful things I’ve done.
Instead, I made a Willy Wonka meme.
And it’s kinda mean… I mean, here I am trying to motivate and help people feel like they have an ally in me, a trusted leader who will asist them in being a creative, Entreperformer, but instead I’m making a snarky internet crack at them.
But it’s kinda funny, so….
Besides, this way, maybe people will share it, and more people will discover how I can help them GET FREE, QUIT THEIR DAY JOBS, and become the actor and artists they want to be!!
Aside from the whole “lifestyle marketing” thing, when you’re paying attention, you can really learn a lot from HOW they do stuff. If you read the bottom text (the one under the video), you’ll notice what words are highlighted and underlined.
Its like a subliminal call to action that makes you want to join us, and with ME specifically to be help you create the LIFESTYLE you want…
I just thought that title was hilarious, isn’t it?
Over the past couple of days, I’ve had Dave Sharpe and several other important Empower Network people visiting my house for a week long mastermind.
Together, we’ve thought up some badass ideas that we’re excited to share with you at the Miami event.
Ideas that I couldn’t have thought up alone.
Today I talk about synergy, the power of putting your mind together with other people to drastically multiply your powers and abilities…
…because 2 people’s minds put together never output 2 people’s thinking abilities; they MULTIPLY.
Watch the video, and pay close attention; because as you pay close attention you may realize something that you’ve never realized before now.
Something that’s going to cause a shift inside.
Also – Dave Sharpe talking about the power of association, and some uncomfortable nipple grabbing (see video).
“Realize and focus on what you’re good at, because those are the things that are going to make you successful” – Dave Sharpe.
Leave me your thoughts in the comments below, and answer the question from today’s video.
– David Wood
P.S. Because you’re on this page reading this blog post, it means that you’re the kind of person who likes to mastermind and associate with powerful people. Which means you need to get to the Miami event – tickets in the members area. I’ll see you there!
P.P.S. Re-blog this, share it with your list and ‘get commissions‘ when people decide to join us after watching it (+ come back tomorrow for the next video).
The Daves talk about how they had to work together in order ti get going.
I’ve been thinking about that lately, and realized that in order to BE THE SOURCE of what I want in life, I need some people for me to BE THE SOURCE for!
In other words, I want to have more people around me to inspire me, motivate me, and help me create the life I want. Therefore, I need to find other people who want the same thing, and BE THE SOURCE of inspiration, motivation, and help for them.
Carlos Acosta didn’t want to become Cuba’s Premier Ballet Dancer
He grew up in the slums of Cuba (Isn’t communism supposed to avoid that?) where his father INSISTED he learn ballet instead of being in gangs…
Now he dances all over the world, and THE CHICKS DIG HIM.
Now why did I have to bring that part into it?
See, when I was in Elementary school, we had BALLET HISPANICO across the street from my school, and I remember visiting. I remember us running across the floor, and jumping over an imaginary hole in the ground, and I also remember wanting to be a little more “graceful” about it.
But I also remember wanting girls to like me,
And Ballet isn’t macho.
YES, I’ve seen Billy Elliot and all of that, but I’m just saying that it must have been hard for Carlos Acosta to grow up wanting to be macho in Cuba, but taking ballet all the time. The thing is, now he’s got that “Cuban Machismo” (not my words!) and a powerful, confident body.
I’m pretty sure the chicks dig him 😉
So my question for you is:
What kind of obstacles have you encountered in your art as an actor or performer?
What kind of self-doubt has crept up for you, and how do you overcome it when it comes up?
